Do you know why I created worlds in my head?
It’s so I wouldn't be alone on this one
I have no problems with mother Earth and her populace
I simply lack a place to belong upon her skin
Floating through space like a mote in God’s eye
But far, far smaller
Eternally so
Thus I create worlds in my mind
Thus I fly to the burning cold stars above our heads
It isn't to escape the beautiful and immense Earth
It is to escape myself
For I fear my thoughts
And I fear my nightmares
But most of all
I fear the loneliness
Knowing that no matter where I am
No matter where I stand
I am, and shall remain,
Alone
And that,
That is the reason I run away into my dreams
To escape that hollow feeling deep within that haunts each and every moment
Breathe in
Breathe out
Inhale the Earth
Exhale the Pain
Left with nothing
Forever nothing...

P.S. You know what sucks about creating entire planets in your head? You're the only one on them. And the stars always burn brightly above, yet distantly cold.
Edit: Hmm...seems like I wasn't in a very great place when I made this...well, still ain't. Anywho, just fixed up some lines and the like.

Fascinating how your - ehm.. state-of-mood (?? xD) seems to reflect mine so often! I can relate to this in more than one way. This feeling of loneliness while being surrounded by people and - sometimes just not wanting to leave that stage between sleeping and waking where you are able to create your own world, to fill it with everything you want, and still it stays far away, like it's behind a glass wall that keeps you from it... (tell me if there's too much of my interpretation in here, and sorry for all this blubber ;D)
